ASIAN CULTURAL TRAINING PROGRAM (Face to Face)

Course Learning Objectives

The aim of this program is to deliver to delegates a basic understanding of how to distinguish between Hindu, Muslim and Sikh people by utilising signs and symbols. A sound understanding & appreciation of Asian religions both in and out the work place will be developed. Delegates will be able to greet each faith group in the respective mother tongue. As well as demonstrate and identify how they can ignite positive relations and appreciate culture in the workplace.

Assessment Criteria
The course is assessed using a variety of fun based activities using NLP techniques to ensure a positive change is behavior is achieved.

The Assessment is split into three parts, Exam, Activities, and Worksheet.

Exam
Delegates will be assessed using a multiple-choice, question paper focusing on the above learning outcomes. Delegates are expected to obtain a mark of 70% or over.

Activities
The fun based activities are assessed through a combination of the delegates responses in approaching new activities outside their own comfort zone, the tutor will take into account, attitude, body language, and linguistics used in attempting to complete the activities. The ability to attempt the activity will also be noted. Even though 7 out of 10 activities, are required to be completed, it is at the discretion of the trainer to decide if activities have been approached and completed. Individuals are NOT Judged on how well they complete the activities.

Worksheet
Each delegate is required to illustrate how they can put what they have learnt into practice into everyday situations, as well as in relation to their own workplace, social events and customer service roles. At least 3 different examples are required.

Accreditation
Please note that if the tutor does not feel that any individual or group has gained a sound understanding or achieved the learning outcomes set out for this course, due to behavior, body language, attitudes, or any other circumstances that they feel contribute to not fully enhancing their awareness on the subject, accreditation will not be agreed. A certificate of attendance may be given instead. Accreditation is solely at the discretion of the trainer.

Training Days
Once all papers have been verified, all delegates will be given marks on papers 1 and 2 only. No marks are provided for activities and worksheet.

Learning Hub
Those delegates that have purchased the "Learning Hub Only" in addition to the Face-to-Face course have access to the on-line course "The Explore Section".

It is possible to spend as little as 20 mins to up to 4 hrs a day, for as long as each individual delegate requires. The Explore Section as a reference site and on going learning aid.

Important Note
It is essential to understand that people are individuals and may not fit neatly into certain categories or follow set customs and behaviors. It is extremely important not to assume that all groups of people or individuals will hold the same beliefs and practices. There may be degrees of variation in some practices.
